Benefits

When can I enroll in health benefits?

SEEK offers two options to enroll in our health benefits program. All employees, regardless of whether they are part-time or full-time, can enroll within 30 days of their hire date. An open enrollment period is available on September 1 each year if you do not enroll within your 30 day window. You pay the cost of the coverage in which you enroll by weekly payroll deductions. Your premiums are deducted after-taxes are calculated on your wages.

Our indemnity plan pays a fixed dollar amount toward medical expenses. It serves as an income replacement plan to help you pay deductibles, co-pays or other out of pocket costs. An indemnity plan should not be considered as a replacement for major medical insurance. You can also enroll in dental, vision, short-term disability and life insurance programs. All plans are available to our employees, spouses and dependents. Premiums vary depending on the types of coverage you select and who you cover in the plan.

Our Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) program offers coverage for 63 wellness and preventative services and screenings for adults, women and children. It does not cover medical services. If you enroll in this plan, you will not have to pay the individual mandate penalties that are assessed in the Affordable Care Act for not having health insurance. However, if you enroll in this plan, you will not be eligible for federal subsidies on coverage you may want to purchase on the government’s health care exchange. The MEC plan is available to our employees, spouses and dependents. Premiums vary depending on who you cover in the plan.

When am I eligible for the 401(k)?

After you work twelve consecutive months and 1,000 hours, you become eligible to participate in SEEK’s 401(k) plan. We will notify you when you are eligible.

When am I eligible for Vacation Pay?

You will be eligible for 40 hours of vacation after you have worked 1,500 hours in the twelve months following the first date of your first assignment or succeeding anniversary date. The rate of pay for vacation is the pay rate of your current assignment. Vacation days must be requested and approved in advance in coordination with your worksite supervisor and your SEEK consultant. Vacation time must be taken in either four (4) or eight (8) hour increments. You cannot take days off unpaid IF you have vacation pay available.

How do I qualify for Holiday Pay?

To qualify for holiday pay, you must work at least 1,000 hours in the one-year period immediately prior to the holiday and must be on assignment with SEEK during the week in which the holiday falls.

Which holidays are eligible for Holiday Pay?

If you qualify, you will receive a full day’s pay (maximum of 8 hours) for:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
