A Victory for the Grafton Community
SEEK’s Grafton Branch is thrilled to take the top spot in this year’s Barrel Mania 2024 community food drive! Our local community competition, organized by the Ozaukee Food Alliance and the Grafton Chamber of Commerce, challenged area businesses to see who could fill their donation barrels to the brim with non-perishable food items. With each barrel competing for the title, it was all about building momentum, making an impact, and showing the strength of our community spirit. And together, we’ve done just that.
In the spirit of collaboration, local Grafton businesses filled every inch of their barrels, gathering a remarkable 14,171 pounds of food and $786 in donations in just three weeks. It’s an impressive testament to our community’s drive to combat food insecurity and make a meaningful difference for families in need.
We’re incredibly honored to have been announced as the winners, collecting a total of 11,851 points. Our success was boosted by a generous donation of 10,000 pounds of canned green beans from our amazing partner, Lakeside Foods. Their contribution underscored the power of partnerships and the importance of working together toward a shared goal.
But beyond the thrill of taking home the win, what matters most to us is the incredible collective impact achieved when businesses, partners, and the community unite. This victory is more than a title; it’s a demonstration of what we can accomplish when we come together, each bringing what we can to help others. As we celebrate our achievement, we also celebrate our neighbors and local partners who contributed their time, resources, and energy to make Barrel Mania 2024 a success.
To everyone who contributed, participated, and cheered on Barrel Mania 2024 – thank you. Together, we’ve shown that we’re a community that cares, lifting each other up in times of need. Here’s to more partnerships, more generosity, and a community spirit that makes a real impact!
