Job Description:
Operate all machines & screening at standard feeds & speeds for a min of 8 hours
with no supervision. Must be able to stretch, reclaim, put in screens and
adjustments on machines. Thorough knowledge in different raw materials used
(including conventional & UV ink), product specifications, and product types.
Will perform visual checks, tape tests, taking sample bottles every hour & other
quality standards as prescribed by Co. Must be able to answer questions re
product quality or machine operation. Must be able to perform machine
adjustments - requiring someone mechanically inclined. Will record & understand
start-up times, product waste, finished case count, reconcile machine cycles to
finished goods, reason for scrap, and reason why production is down, etc. Must
be a champion of safety on the floor: demonstrate exemplary skills in using
guards, safety switches, red flags, and personal safety equipment. Will attend
all safety meetings & view any safety videos required. Will read, understand,
and implement job order instructions as required. Will assemble & stencil boxes,
package products for all machines. Will complete all machine operator,
production, and qc sheets to include unit counts within a case, correct packing
configuration, and case counts.
Requires: Demonstrate superior, cooperative work attitude, ability to get along with
others, willingness to coach. Serve as an example. At times discipline personnel
& praise performance. Provide training as needed. Must maintain an excellent
attendance record. Must be willing to work overtime & weekends if needed. Must
be proficient with co policies. Must be able to communicate work instructions
given by management. Must assure work areas are kept clean, neat & organized.
Keep breaks within specified time allotments. Possess above average math,
reading, writing skills. Maintain FDA standards & health policies. Have basic
understanding of fire extinguishers, eye-wash stations, evacuation plans and
first-aid stations. Must possess valid driver's license & be willing to occ use
personal vehicle for company business.
Misc Notes: Prior supervisory / line management experience required. Mechanically inclined.
Shift rotates between 1st & 2nd.
